Grading/Training information
Step 1:
Get ready for Grading - Skills & Fitness session - Tues 30th Jan, 2024 at SLNC Courts
We've organised for NetSpirit Netball Education to come and run this session to help get us back into netball mode in time for Grading.
This event will be for all players turning 11 in 2024 or older (player born 2013 or earlier). It will be a fun and energising session working on fitness and skills to get that brain back into netball mode, ready for our Grading sessions in early February. It will be held at our netball courts on Sportstar Drive, Springfield Central. Times to be confirmed closer to the event, depending on numbers registered. There will be a cost of $20 (plus fees) per participant for this session.

This core foundation and fitness session is about refreshing our players core foundational skills, building some new skills and stretching the body before our SLNC Grading sessions. The session will be run by the team at Netspirit Education www.netspirit.com.au
What to Expect
Players will experience a variety of skills and education by moving through various stations. This ensures there is maximum engagement and each player gets to learn a new skill of a different coach.
Each station is carefully thought out and tailored to suit specific ages and skill levels. While having the BEST time is essential on the day, taking away actionable skills is also. We create activities that are full of development while igniting all the netball feels!
Our ultimate aim is provide engaging activities that not only encourage development but also are confidence building.

Step 2:
Grading sessions
Grading for our players from U11s up to Seniors (U7-10s won’t be needed for grading), this season will be completed on the following dates:
(Please save these dates in your calendar):
Sat. 3rd Feb, 2024 – Springfield Central State High School Hall; and
Tues 6th Feb, 2024 – SLNC Courts.
Sat. 10th Feb, 2024 – Springfield Central State High School Hall; and
Tues 13th Feb, 2024 – SLNC Courts.
Sat. 17th Feb, 2024 – Springfield Central State High School Hall; and
Tues. 20th Feb, 2024 – SLNC Courts.
Grading for each age group will take place on one of the above Saturdays & the following Tuesday. Which Sat & Tues for your age group will be advised closer to the dates.
Grading will be completed in accordance with our Grading policy. We will have a combination of external graders, coaches and Committee members conducting the grading process.

Step 3:
Training commences for all teams
Training for all age groups will commence on Tuesday, 5th March, 2024. We will have an information session for each age group (for players and parents), in our Clubhouse prior to the training session commencing. More details will follow about this closer to the time.
Step 4:
Saturday Games commence 20th April, 2024
Saturday games are held at Western Districts Netball Association, Faulkner Park, Waratah Ave, Graceville. Once teams have been allocated, they are submitted to WDNA and their division will be confirmed. Game times will be set and will remain constant for the whole season.
